Chloe Fineman has a special interest in "Big Little Lies"; she has done the Nicole Kidman character (the heart of the show), Laura Dern's "Renata," and also Reese Witherspoon.
(Fineman seems not to have done Meryl's character, but Fineman has certainly done another version of Meryl, the one you see in "Little Women.")
Fineman invents a scenario for Reese that doesn't actually happen in the show, as far as I recall. Dern--"Renata"--has transgressed. She has brought brownie bites to a school bake sale. "Look at your list," says Reese, enraged. "You brought brownie bites. You were meant to bring lemon bars. Unh-unh. Nuh-unh. Look at the list. What do you think you're doing? Look at the list."
This confrontation inspires Reese; she is galvanized, in just the way you might feel pleasantly enraged when you think about Susan Collins. "What will it be next week?" she asks. "A funnel cake? Are you planning to bring a funnel cake?"
In most Chloe Fineman impersonations, there is an unruly id trying to get out; the drama comes from watching the composed adult trying to suppress the id. Here, in the Reese story, the id pops out: "Don't you think you have better things to do?" asks Reese. "Better than ruining my bake sale? Don't you have better things to do, like sitting on your husband's face?" This absurd question leads to the climax: "I called you A BITCH!" screams Reese, and we fade to black.
Fineman has said that her crazy characters freed her from the "hot girl" trap. By advertising her own lunacy on Instagram, and by tagging herself "Chloe Is Crazy," Fineman ensured that her career would be more colorful than, say, the career of Emily Ratajkowski. God bless her for that.
I like when people "write" their own futures; Fineman could have just accepted a day job somewhere, and she didn't. I'm still really inspired by her.
