As a tutor at Sidwell Friends, she would wonder about all the buff, handsome men; then, she realized they were Secret Service agents, keeping an eye on Malia. (Then, she actually bumps into Malia. Delightful.) The absurd story of *becoming* a White House stenographer is handled well. DS actually finds the job on Craig's List; the person doing the hiring is very secretive. Asked for a cover letter, DS crazily replies, "I believe my resume speaks for itself." Next, she blows off the actual interview because she feels she needs to stay late at her other job--in the "sales" world at Lululemon. Wonderful. Here's what bugs me about this "buzzy" memoir.
