Tipping a hat to Quentin Blake, who made Matilda, and the Witches, and the BFG.
I'd argue these characters are "Blake creations"--just as much as they are Roald Dahl creations.
Blake says, if you're making art, you should "lose your inhibitions, and actually get to know your characters." He says: "Don't be precious. If an idea isn't working, change the idea."
This seems to be good advice not just for drawing, but also for life.
